Raised Bed & Garden Builds in Stella, NC
Stella is our home base. If you live out here along the White Oak River, we are your neighbors, and we would love to build your garden.
Gardening in Stella
Stella is a quiet, rural community on the White Oak River, surrounded by woods and farmland. Lots tend to be bigger than in the beach towns, with more room and less salt in the air. The soil varies a lot from one property to the next — loose sand on higher ground, and darker soil that stays wet for days in the low spots near the river and the woods.
Raised beds handle both. On sandy ground, a good soil mix in the bed (we can add it for you) holds water and nutrients your plants need. In wet areas, the bed keeps roots up and out of standing water.
Woods, wildlife, and water
Living near the woods means deer, rabbits, and moles. We can add hardware cloth under beds, fence panels around the garden, and hoops for netting or frost covers. Many Stella properties are on a well or have a spigot far from the best sunny spot. We plan around that, and a drip line can make watering much easier.
Neighborhood notes
Much of Stella has no HOA, which gives you more freedom in what you build — a larger garden, a fenced plot, or an arbor at the entrance. If your property does have rules, let us know and we will follow them.
How we serve Stella
Because we are based here, Stella is the easiest place for us to work. We start with a free site visit, walk the property with you, check the sun, and talk through what you want to grow. Then we build it, and can fill and plant it too. Setup is the service; seasonal care visits are a separate add-on.
